The Kawagoe Festival will be held on October 14th and 15th. This festival, known as the “Kawagoe Festival,” was designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan in 2005. Furthermore, in 2016, it was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage under the category of “Floats, Stretcher-Bearers, and Masks in the Kawagoe Festival.” Please do come and witness the traditional Japanese cultural event featuring float parades, with a special connection to the Hikawa Shrine.
